Inclusive Compassionate and Accessible Aftercare
One of the many things that set us apart here at Searidge is our amazing Aftercare program. We know that the success rates of rehabs are highest while participants are still on site. The true test of any program is what happens a week, a month, or a year, down the road.
To bolster our graduate’s success rate we have developed an aftercare program that truly builds a community around each and every one of our treatment program Alumni. These can be found in our Searidge Sponsored SMART recovery meetings, our Family and Friends meetings and our Alumni Aftercare online community meetings, held over Zoom and led by trained professionals.
Each meeting gives participants a safe space where they can share their struggles, strengths and triumphs with like-minded people, everyone has their own story but when we walk that path of recovery together our strength shines through.
In fact, our Aftercare community members like each other so much they even gather for Searidge Sponsored Reunion weekends!
Another thing that we do here at Searidge that is unique is holding refresher weekends. Refresher weekends give our Alumni a chance to revisit tools and techniques and learn new tools through sharing with the group, tools and resources that help them stand taller in their truths.

How do we help our clients recover?
Every treatment program offered at Searidge Alcohol Rehab is rooted in scientific and research-based protocols that work hand-in-hand with evidence-based psychotherapies.
Because we work with medical practitioners we can augment our psychological therapies with Pharmacotherapies when it is appropriate. And the healing does not stop there, we know that there is so much wisdom in offering Alternative Alcohol Rehab Therapies that take a more holistic and natural approach to healing through yoga, pilates, recreational activities, mindfulness and meditation practices.
SMART Recovery Meetings in Nova Scotia
“SMART Recovery is an abstinence-based, not-for-profit organization with a sensible self-help program for people having problems with drinking and using. It includes many ideas and techniques to help you change your life from one that is self-destructive and unhappy to one that is constructive and satisfying. SMART Recovery is not a spin-off of Alcoholics Anonymous. No one will label you an “alcoholic”, an “addict” or “diseased” nor “powerless”, and if you do not believe in a religion or spirituality, that’s fine, too. We teach common sense self-help procedures designed to empower you to abstain and to develop a more positive lifestyle. When you succeed at following our approach, you may graduate from the program, or you may stay around to help others.
Searidge Alcohol Rehab offers a variety of aftercare programs to our alumni to help ensure their sobriety is sustained. SMART Recovery group meetings have proven to be incredibly beneficial to our Searidge alumni. SMART Recovery meetings give our graduate residents the tools and support they require to remain sober.
All Smart Recovery meetings are held on Zoom please go to our Smart Recovery Nova Scotia website at https://www.smartrecoveryns.com to learn more or sign up to attend a meeting.
