Searidge Foundation for Alcohol Rehab & Addiction Treatment serving Sydney, NS
The Searidge family welcomes all Canadians struggling with Alcohol Use Disorders, here you will always find a warm welcome.
Sydney, like so many Canadian communities, is home to a rich history, natural beauty and prosperity, but also a problem that often goes overlooked by so many Canadians, Alcohol Use Disorders.
Our Annapolis Royal Location is a very good choice for anyone from Sydney and surrounding areas when seeking help to overcome an unhealthy dependance on Alcohol, we are close enough to be accessible, and the distance between our rehab facility and any triggers is great enough to help keep you safe during your recovery, while still allowing special family and friends to visit you when you are ready.
Like many people in Nova Scotia the residents of Sydney have suffered along with their fellow Canadians these past few years, faced with challenges we could not really have prepared for many have turned to alcohol to relieve some of their problems, fears, stresses and while in the short term it may feel as if your load is lighter in reality the issues are still there when the bottle is empty and a new day dawns.
We can help you understand what your triggers for drinking are, and teach you methods for coping with how you deal with outside pressures. While we can not fix all that is wrong in your world, we can help you by teaching you to know yourself, your triggers, your strengths and ultimately provide you with the tools for success in overcoming that desire to turn to a bottle.

Sydney and Surrounding area
The Colonial Town of Old Sydney was founded by Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution.
As the largest urban area on Cape Breton and the island’s historical capital, Sydney is the perfect mix of metropolitan charm and down-home hospitality.
As with many Nova Scotian communities on the ocean, the heart of Sydney is its waterfront. On a warm, summer evening it’s a great place to go for a walk, stop to watch to a busker and to watch ships in the harbour. Along the way, be sure to get your photo taken beside the world’s largest fiddle, built in recognition of Cape Breton’s musical talent.
