Treatment programs at Searidge Alcohol Rehab are balanced in their approaches to treating and healing the whole individual. New Brunswick offers a number of different government funded rehab centers for alcohol addiction. Admission to most public rehab centres in New Brunswick are on a voluntary basis. An individual in New Brunswick would call one of these rehab centers and complete an intake. Upon completion they would enter a queue until a bed becomes available. The Alcohol Treatment Program is a comprehensive treatment and prevention strategy to address harmful alcohol use. The program is considered an effective means of reducing consumption, symptoms of withdrawal, cravings, and the rate of mortality.
Staff seek to improve physical and mental health, social functioning, and a person’s overall quality of life. This multidisciplinary team includes: prescribing physicians, registered nurses, social workers, and administrative support.
Individual counselling is available throughout the concurrent recovery process for therapy and, as needed, access to community resources.

MMFN Fitness Centre – Regular physical activity, even at a moderate level, reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure and obesity. Overall, 65 percent of Canadians are considered obese. Although the risks associated with lack of physical activity are clear, we don’t appear interested in changing our sedentary ways.
The Madawaska Maliseet First Nation built this gym for people who want to get in shape. No membership is required and it is available to all community members, both young and less young.

Inpatient Addiction (Detoxification Services)
The Inpatient Addiction Unit offers detoxification services at Horizon’s facilities. It provides a safe, therapeutic environment for detoxification treatment of substances/alcohol and/or gambling use/dependence and for occurring/reoccurring setbacks.
